The 15 Questions

Gathering insights across Africa, about Africa and her youth

The United Nation estimates the population of Africa to be 2.4 billion by 2050,1 with about 50% under the age of 25.2 Taking into account the broad base of the youthful population, Africa stands a chance to benefit immensely from the energetic social capital. However, studies reveal that Africa’s youth face challenges that impede their growth and development. For the continent to fully tap into the youthful human resource, there is the need to develop mechanisms to mitigate the challenges the youth face. Finding solutions to these challenges is fundamentally important as it prepares and positions the youth to take advantage of today’s opportunities and help co-create the continent’s future.

In soliciting ideas on the project through interactive discussions across the continent on the need for the youth in Africa to develop creative confidence, the 15 questions were put together by the institute. The institute invites the youth, policy makers and all stakeholders in developing the youth of Africa to share ideas and strategies on how to fully prepare Africa’s hope (the youth) for socio-economic growth with creative confidence as a catalyst.
